Oh, the website…

I went back and forth for a long time on whether or not I needed a website. Honestly, the mental toil was more based on expense than it was sensibility. C’mon, these things are expensive :) However, they’re also vital in our present time. Websites, social media, unless one is already an established writer, these are necessary tools, a means of communicating not only our work, but us to all the amazing readers and writers out there in the world.

Lo and behold, October came around. Not only my favorite month as Halloween is amazing, but, to be blunt, at my current workplace, it’s a three paycheck month. Yay! And thus the website was born. I completely grasp the notion of self-investment, but the struggle is very real, and it’s not only websites that are expensive. Website, copyrights, ISBN’s, Domains, etc., these things have to happen in steps and not one mass purchase. But that’s okay, the point is that it is done, and here we go. :)

So, the website - pause to drink coffee and pet Stevie (my curled up calico beside me)…more coffee, it’s 2:32 am - will be continually updated as we go. I want to have a LORE section, but can’t release all the lore at once as it’ll spoil elements of the story. I’ll put a header at the top of the page - POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD scream - whenever I add to it and tread very carefully, but I want to update it with every released book. I want a map page as the books, in their current editions, will not have a map (plan on having a map blog to explain why). My coffee is already getting cold… Anyway, eventually, I’ll also want a merchandise page. And if no one else will buy the cups and shirts then I will, lol.

Overall, I enjoy the website. Simple. Clean. Necessary. Off to refill my coffee. Have a great day :)

P.S. The most difficult part - so far at least!! Terrifying concept!!! - has been the cookie and Privacy Policy, making certain not only am I protected, but so are the rights of anyone visiting my page in addition to signing up for updates. Basically, I don’t want your data. I don’t care about your data. Your life is none of my business. Nor does it belong to another individual or another company.
