It, Welcome to Derry Ep 3/Book Editions

I honestly don’t have a lot to say about Episode 3. I’ve been very, very busy between work and final proof’s of The Heart of the North paperback and hardback copies. I received my paperback the other day and was…overwhelmed, in a good way :) The print came out far better than I could imagine and extremely excited for it to be in others hands. Still waiting for the hardback edition to arrive, going back and forth with the printer on that one. The printer creates beautiful copies of books, but their customer support is very, very slow.

Remember, as always: SPOILERS!!!

So, anyway, It, Welcome to Derry Ep 3. While the episode was good, I honestly was shocked when it was suddenly over, wondering where the last hour went, not in a “So much occurred I can’t believe it’s over!” but in a “Oh, it’s been an hour? Oh, okay.” It bordered a filler episode, but certainly not in a bad way. We’re finally being introduced to the Pennywise form, hear his voice, which…c’mon, we all want. Though the entity, Deadlights, fiery and physical spider has many, many forms, Pennywise is the most iconic, even before the marketing machine produced the film/TV series.

I do enjoy the series delving into the Native American’s who live in Maine and their relationship with Pennywise’s history with Derry. Though I live in Maine, I’m not from Maine. Technically, I’m from all over the country, but I spent most of my life in New Mexico, a state strengthened by its Native American culture and history; thus it was nice to have another series not hesitate to support its lore with the history of the land and people.

As I said, don’t have much more to write about it today, could be because it’s super early, WWE Raw is replaying in the background, or because I recently quit smoking I’ve a monster headache… All the above?

Oh well :) Everyone have a great day!
